Terms of service

FindYourSails is a service for discovering regattas, an index of published results, a layer for sailor identity and a network for finding crew and boats (Crew Finder).

FindYourSails is normally not the organiser of the regattas shown. Entry, fees, sailing instructions and results are handled by the respective organiser or the registration provider the organiser uses; we link there. A contract to take part in a regatta is between you and the organiser, never with us.

Calendar and result data originate from public third-party sources — federations, clubs, organisers and result systems — and are shown with source and time. Sources may change, be delayed or contain errors, and we cannot guarantee that every item is complete, current or correct. Always check official information with the organiser before travelling, entering or paying.

The service is provided as is. We aim for high availability but may need to pause for maintenance, and external sources and providers can affect the service in ways beyond our control.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for what happens through the account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you suspect someone else is using the account. An account is personal; you may not impersonate anyone.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

You may only claim results that are your own. Claims are reviewed by us before approval, and we may reject, revoke or correct a verification when something turns out to be wrong.

A verified sailor identity means observations in published results have been attached to your account. It does not mean FindYourSails has verified your skill, experience, safety or trustworthiness, and the badge must not be read that way by others.

Crew Finder lets users post for crew or a boat and get in touch with each other. FindYourSails brokers the contact but is not a party to whatever you then agree, and we do not check users' competence, safety, equipment, insurance or trustworthiness. You are responsible for assessing who you sail with and for the boat and crew meeting the requirements that apply.

Listings must be truthful and concern real sailing. Contact details are released only after both parties have accepted the connection. You may block and report; we may remove listings and suspend users who abuse the feature.

You may not:

• impersonate anyone or claim someone else's results,
• send spam, bulk messages or unsolicited marketing through the service,
• harass, threaten or discriminate against other users,
• attempt to circumvent permissions, the paywall, security features or access limits,
• systematically extract the service's data to build a competing service without our consent,
• publish content that breaks the law or others' rights.

What you publish — profile, listings, forum posts — remains yours. You grant FindYourSails the right to display it in the service for as long as you leave it up, in the form the service needs. We may remove content that breaks these terms or that we are required to remove by law.

The calendar, official links, results, sailor verification and basic Crew Finder are free. Premium and Pro are optional subscriptions that remove ads and limits and add features. What each plan includes is shown on the Premium page at the time of purchase; yearly and monthly plans of the same tier give the same features.

Payment is made through Stripe, in SEK, and the subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Stripe's customer portal via My account; the plan then continues to the end of the paid period and does not renew. If a payment fails, Stripe retries; if no payment succeeds, the plan ends.

Prices may change for future periods; you will be told in advance and can cancel. The right of withdrawal and other consumer rights under Swedish law always apply in addition to these terms. VAT treatment is shown on the receipt from Stripe.

Incorrect information about a regatta, a result or a person, as well as content that breaks these terms, can be reported to info@findyoursails.com or through the reporting features in the service. We review and act within a reasonable time.

We are not liable for decisions you make based on information in the service, for the actions of organisers or other users, or for interruptions caused by external sources and providers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, such as consumer legislation.

We may update these terms when the service changes and will announce material changes in the service. Swedish law applies. Last updated: 2026-09-05.
